The 45mm Apple Watch Series 7 has a wrist size of between 140mm and 220mm, or approximately 5.5 inches to 8.5 inches. The 45mm model also has an extra-large strap option; that strap is for wrists between 160mm and 245mm, or about 6 inches to almost 10 inches. If your Apple Watch is 38mm or 40mm, buy a 41mm band. If your Apple Watch is 42mm or 44mm, buy a 45mm band.
Smaller sizes and larger sizes are grouped together in terms of compatibility, although this advice does not apply to Apple Watch Series 2 or earlier. Of course, as always, you'll need the right strap size for the right watch size. Older bands that fit the 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 will fit Series 7, and the 44mm straps will fit the new 45mm size. Remember that since all bands will be compatible with the new Apple Watch, there is no reason to wait for the launch of Apple Watch Series 7 to buy new bands if you are looking for a new look.
For small wrists, the sports strap can be tightened and offers a better fit than something like a sports strap. Not all Apple Watch bands are available in all sizes and not all are compatible with both models. As long as you take off and put on your Apple Watch bands properly, there shouldn't be any wear and tear associated with changing them. Keep in mind that Apple Watch Series 6 also provided a 20% faster charging experience than previous models last year.
We saw reports that the edges of the Apple Watch case would be flat, similar to the current crop of iPhones. Apple offers Apple Watch Series 7 in 41 mm and 45 mm case sizes, and Apple Watch SE in 40 and 44 mm size options. As was the case when Apple Watch Series 4 was introduced with larger sizes, Apple's new bands are labeled to match Series 7.Apple Watch sizes refer to the vertical height of the case, which has increased over the years, but the width has remained similar enough not to break the strap's compatibility just yet. Although it wasn't the redesign that many thought it would be, the Apple Watch Series 7 looks slightly different from last year's model.
While case height has gradually increased over generations, Apple Watch achieves larger displays without dramatically greater watch heights thanks to thinner edges around the screen. Casetify's new Toy Story collection is full of nostalgia for Pixar fans with cases, watch bands, batteries and more. As always, you still need to stay on the same smaller or larger watch version to maintain strap compatibility. Expect more comprehensive size comparisons when Apple Watch Series 7 launches later this year.
Like most Apple Watch bands, the size starts at 130mm, but it's worth noting that this is one of the smallest Apple Watch straps, with a maximum of 200mm.
